Help Lesotho is an Ottawa-based charity founded in 2004. Help Lesotho’s mission is to mitigate the effects of HIV/AIDS by promoting education, gender equity and youth leadership development. Its programs foster hope and motivation in those who are most in need: orphans, vulnerable children, at-risk youth and grandmothers. Their work targets root causes and community priorities, including literacy, youth leadership training, school twinning, child sponsorship and gender programming.
Lesotho is a small, forgotten country in southern Africa with the world's third highest rate of HIV/AIDS. Help Lesotho has become an effective, sustainable international development organization that is working at the grass-roots level to support the next generation of leaders in Lesotho.
